Replica Lodge Room
This room is a replica of the Alexandria-Washington Lodge room as it was in 1802. It contains the original furniture and paintings from the period. The William's portrait of George Washington is displayed in the East. It is a very accurate portrait of Washington completed in 1794. Also in this room is Washington's Bedchamber Clock. The clock was stopped at 10:20 p.m., December 14, 1799, the exact moment of his death. A replica of the Masonic Apron worn by Washington and the Silver Trowel used by Washington at the United States Capitol Cornerstone Laying Ceremony in 1793 are exhibited in this room.
