The Memorial entrance is a temple entrance, inspired by the Parthenon of Athens, and is Doric, the interior of Memorial Hall is Composite. This magnificent room features a massive bronze statue of George Washington in the Masonic regalia he wore at the United States Capitol Cornerstone Laying Ceremony in 1793. The mural on the north wall depicts General Washington and his Officers at Christ Church in Philadelphia attending a St. John's Day Observance on December 28, 1788. The mural on the south wall depicts Washington in full Masonic regalia laying the cornerstone of the United States Capitol on September 18, 1793.
